Keep charging!!!
As a rhinoceros, “keep charging“, is your daily creed that you live by. You shout it at the top of your lungs every morning. You are not afraid of failing, because you know that nothing can hurt you with your two-inch-thick skin. The worst possible thing that can happen to you is that you will get killed, and death is a negligible incident in your life. Everyone dies. Why worry about that? Your future accomplishments are what excite you.
Not even rhinos make it to the top of the hill without slipping a few times though. Even if you tumble all the way back down to the bottom, the cows can see you smiling because you are enjoying the excitement. Today, you might be in the depths of depression, but tomorrow you could be in the heights of ecstasy! You love the adventure. Jack London’s verse really captures your damn-the torpedoes, rhinoceros spirit:
“I would rather be ashes than dust. I would rather that my spark would burn out in a brilliant blaze than be stifled by dry-rot. I would rather be a superb meteor,
every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet.”
Look for adventure in your life. Seek the unknown. Enjoy the excitement of chasing down a dream. Keep charging!!! Scott Alexander
