Let’s Ban Bureaucrats!
In 1967, John Lennon wrote a song called “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” based on a drawing that his son, Julian, had done of a classmate named Lucy O’Donnell. The song was interpreted to be about LSD by the BBC and promptly banned. Of course, The Beatles were no strangers to being banned on the BBC. A handful of their tunes were banned over the years. “I am the Walrus” was banned because it contained the word “knickers”.
It seems funny now having a group of people set up in a position to decide what people would be allowed to hear or not.
Things may have gotten looser on the music scene, but today is no different with having groups of people who want the power to decide how we should live our lives. Now we have people deciding what kind of light bulbs we are going to use, what kinds of food we are allowed to eat, what vitamins will be available for us, what kind of cars we will be allowed to own, and on and on.
My dream is that these bureaucrats of today are as repugnant to us in the future as the idea of the BBC banning songs is to us today. Get radical! Question authority. Fight for limited government. Pass the word and keep charging!!! Scott Alexander

Perhaps the worst thing about working in the postal service is having to deal with micromanagement. It’s gotten to where you don’t feel you can take a step freely. If you think of a better way to do something, forget it. They don’t let you. And so the collapse of the USPS is accelerated.
When I retired last March, I was so thankful to get out from under that giant thumb. But now I realize that the postal service is a microcosm of the micromanagement of our encroaching government. We’re being more and more controlled and stifled to the point of tyranny, and the American spirit, the human spirit, will not long put up with it. If we let it, the collapse of the USA will be accelerated.
