Redistribution of a Mercedes
God said that thieves would break in and steal, so if your brand new Mercedes is stolen, don’t worry about it. You can get another one. Better to have independent thieves get it from you anyway, rather than having the government expropriate it.
At least the thieves have to work to get it. The government would just tax it right away from you.
At least the the thieves would enjoy the fruits of their labor. The government would try to redistribute it.
At least the thieves would make money from the theft, while the government would lose money paying for the redistribution.

Perfect sentiment, great bumper sticker (still second to Unga Bunga) and easy to read! So simple even I got it!
I’m sure you know this one Scott. It is just funny how it was stated over 150 years ago and people still don’t get it! Is Obama not the antithesis of this statement or what??!!
“You cannot help the poor
by destroying the rich.
You cannot strengthen the weak
by weakening the strong
You cannot bring about prosperity
by discouraging thrift.
You cannot lift the wage earner up
by pulling the wage payer down.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man
by inciting class hatred.
You cannot build character and courage
by taking away people’s initiative and independence.
You cannot help people permanently
by doing for them,
what they could and
should do for themselves.”
Abraham Lincoln
Absolutely classic!! Thanks, Richard!
I came here for inspiration, and more Rhino motivation. Instead it seems I just found an anti-government website, and a lot of whinging about what you’re unhappy about, Scott. I’ll just read the book instead.
