Want to stimulate yourself as well as the economy? Start your own business! Being in business for yourself is so stimulating that I believe there would be less drug and alcohol abuse if more people became entrepreneurs.
Look at it this way: taking drugs and starting a business both involve risk. In fact, if you find being daring stimulating, being an entrepreneur beats taking drugs. With your own business, you could be sued for all that you are worth, go bankrupt, be harassed by the government, have employees steal from you, have customers steal from you, develop ulcers, be evicted from your office, have your inventory become obsolete, or just be plain wiped out by your competition. Does that sound like enough excitement for you?
With drugs and alcohol, the worst thing possible thing that can happen to you is an overdose causing your death. Then it is all over. No more excitement.
That’s not how it works in business. You can go bankrupt, but the excitement will continue. Creditors, like devils, will continue to haunt you. The government will continue sending you their collection of forms to fill out. A lawsuit could last for years. You see - business is really risky stuff! Drugs do not even compare.
Maybe people take drugs to feel good. But how good can turning your brain and body to mush feel? Running your own business stimulates your nerve endings rather than deaden them. You won’t be able to sleep at night! There is nothing like the rush you experience from creating something from nothing.
With your own business, you get the benefits of drug abuse – being daring, feeling good, excitement and adventure along with the prospect of making money. Don’t wait around for Obama to plan your life for you. Stimulate yourself and the economy – start your own business, chase down a dream, do something incredible. Just do it!!
