College – Propaganda Camps

I must admit that I have had a huge advantage over a large percentage of less fortunate people. Conditions in my early years were such that I did not suffer what many my age did, and that was going to college. Large numbers of young people still waste tens of thousands of dollars and years of their lives pursuing “higher education”.

Liberals believe that they, alone, understand how the world should be run and how people should live their lives. The leftist intelligentsia, who teach at our nation’s colleges and universities really believe that they are smarter and more evolved than we are, thus their “higher learning”. Higher education does not mean more useful, practical education. It means learning to think like they want you to think.

Today’s colleges are the propaganda training camps of the liberals. They have taken over the campuses of America and train people to be parasites of the system. And we help pay for kids to be sent to these Socialist/Marxist training camps!

As you associate, so you become. After four years of living, breathing and absorbing socialist thought, perfectly good kids with so much potential emerge mutated and are sent out to infect society and threaten our freedom. I realize that some young people want to become doctors, engineers, or some occupation that requires a college degree, and they have to be sent in. We are going to have some collateral damage.

The times, they are a changin’ …again! The 60s are back with a vengeance – only this time, it is our turn to “speak out against the madness”. We have been too tolerant of those who want to destroy this country. It’s the 11th hour. We are either going to stand up for what we believe and fight for freedom, or we’re going down. You Are What You Remember!

Memories are food for our soul. You can fill yourself with positive, nourishing remembrances, or you can slowly kill yourself with bitter, unhealthy thoughts from the past.

Memories exercise the mind. Keep yourself mentally fit with the happy, exciting recollections. We all have unpleasant memories, but we don’t need to dredge them up and dwell on them.

Pleasant memories are the daily vitamins that can make us happy. Past achievements, loves, good friends, trips and experiences, should all be taken in liberally. Why would you regurgitate the poisonous thoughts, when there are so many great, fun things to remember?

Choose to celebrate, not feel sorry for yourself. Recall the joys, not the sorrows. Reflect on the happiest times. You are what you remember on a regular basis. Discipline yourself to cut the fatty, unhealthy reflections out of your mental diet. Live life and add more fantastic memories! Scott Alexander

Rock ‘n Roll Rhino Rebellion

There are all sorts of influences that have made us what we are. Of course, our parents got the ball rolling. Friends have left their mark. The books we have read over the years have left an imprint on our thinking. There are always some teachers that gave direction and were influential. Even the music we have listened to has swayed us in one way or another.

I grew up on rock ‘n roll music, and it has definitely affected my thinking. Back in my day, (Haha! Never pictured myself saying “back in my day”) music was how we communicated. We weren’t all sitting around on our computers. We didn’t have cell phones. We bought records and sat in our rooms and listened to them, discussed the latest albums with our friends, and analyzed the album covers.

Music taught us about life…well, sex and drugs and rebellion anyway. I never took drugs, but I think the rock ‘n roll rebellion took hold in my soul. I grew up questioning what “success” really meant. I knew that I did not want to go to college to get a good job. I wanted to be an entrepreneur! Now that is rock ‘n roll!! Do the opposite of what everyone else is doing! I didn’t want to sacrifice my life for security.

Sadly, rock ‘n roll seems to have lost its edge. It is no longer about rebellion. Now it seems to be about living in a socialist utopia, having the government take care of us by stealing from the producers and redistributing it to those who don’t want to work. Come on! Rock ‘n rollers have become a bunch of grandmas! Get the rebellion back!!! Are we gonna let “the man” Obama and his cronies tell us how to live. Hell no!!!

Grow some thick skin! Get rebellious! Take charge of your own life! If it wasn’t for rock ‘n roll, we would all be living in a third world cow pasture. A Steamy Love Affair…

I wonder what she is doing right now? I didn’t get much sleep last night. Just laid in bed, lost in thoughts about her. There is something about her that makes me feel alive. If there was a drug that made me feel this way, I would quickly become addicted to it.

She takes my blank coloring book and beautifully paints it with a dazzling rainbow of colors. The most mundane task becomes a day at Disneyland, when I am with her. My body, my heart and soul are warmed by her sunshine. God, I need to see her. I need to be with her, hear her voice and touch her.

Have a love affair with your life. Romance it, appreciate and relish it. Experience the joy of giving and accomplishing. Let your life turn you on. Scott Alexander

What do you stand for?

You may know what you believe and what you stand for, but more importantly, do other people know? If your neighbors were asked about you, would they know where you stand on your political affiliations, your walk with God, or your disbelief in God? Would they know if you are a Democrat, a Republican or one of those crazy Libertarians? Or, are you one of those sensitive souls who doesn’t want to offend anyone with what you believe, so you keep it to yourself?

This country is going to hell because people have been so cowed into keeping quiet. I’ve heard some say that they don’t put any political stuff on Facebook, because the government can keep track of what they say. What if Paul Revere had been intimidated by the British into keeping his mouth shut? Our government is in the process of tearing this country down, turning it into a third world cow pasture, and people are worried about rocking the boat!

We gotta kick, scream, holler and raise hell! Be part of the Revolution! Keep charging!!! Scott Alexander

People are Good!!

I know just enough about the computer to retrieve emails, post pictures on Facebook, write my blog posts and play music. I still don’t really know what a browser is. My boys try to teach me things. Sometimes I ask them to show me how to do things like open a new folder, and they rip through a bunch of steps that I can’t possibly follow and I really have no interest in following anyway. So, I am happy in my little world of technological ignorance.

This morning, my nightmare happened. My hard drive crashed. I don’t know if that is really what happened, but it makes me sound like I am hip to this stuff. It was like a computer murder… red Xs were everywhere with warning signs that had words like CRITICAL!… SYSTEM FAILURE!…LOSER! The computer was locked up, and said that I had damaged hard drive clusters.

I went to my laptop and announced on my Facebook page that my hard drive clusters were damaged. Was it over for me? The help (and jokes) started coming in immediately. Two guys sent me private messages with their phone numbers offering their help. One guy said he would check it remotely for me. The advice and offers of help are still coming in!

Within the hour, my computer was back and running in perfect order!! People took time out of their day to help me!! I’m glad that I asked, because I was getting ready to go buy another computer!

Never be afraid to ask for help if you need it. People are good. Most enjoy helping others. It’s evidence that there is a God!! Then, when you run into someone that needs help, you can be there for them. We can make this world better without dictates from the government!!! Keep charging and spread the love!! Scott Alexander

Infatuation!!!

How do you explain that feeling you get when you connect with someone who makes you feel alive? Someone who excites you, warms your soul, makes you happy. There is a definite chemistry between the two of you. Sparks fly! It is magic! Some call it infatuation, or twitterpation, a crush, or love. Whatever it is, you are in a constant state of bliss.

Can you imagine if you felt that same way about your work, your profession, your business? That’s how it should be! Why spend your life doing something that is not inspiring you? Why suffer with diarrhea every Sunday night because you have to go to work in the morning? You are in a bad relationship! Get out!! You need to have a crush on what you do!! Don’t resign yourself to a life of just getting by.

You may already know what you would love to do. Do everything you can to make that your life! If you don’t know, start looking!!! Do some soul searching. The life of your dreams is out there! Let the sparks fly!!! Scott Alexander

The Freedom of Forgiveness.

Forgiveness isn’t usually a topic dealt with by motivational authors. Maybe, because it smacks of religion and it seems that most motivational authors avoid mentioning God for some bizarre reason. The Bible is the most motivational, inspiring book out there!!

We’ve all heard the saying, “resentment is like taking poison, and expecting the other person to die.” Wish I had said that! No one is sitting around having intestinal distress because someone is out there harboring ill feelings towards them. The only one with the upset stomach and hurting heart is the one who is holding the grudge.

Just move on! To get ahead in life, to be a positive influence and be happy, you can’t be dragging hate around with you. It stains your soul. It gums up your carburetors and fouls your plugs. It is like acid rain everyday. It’s a festering sore that keeps getting ripped open and never heals. Well, you get the idea.

The word forgive is from the ancient Italian word, “fu-ge-da-boud-it”, which translates to our English “forget it”. Nike says, JUST DO IT! Make the decision to shed all your negative feelings about your enemies. Jesus said, JUST LOVE THEM! If you really want to run your life on premium gas, try that!!! Keep charging with love! Motivation for Single Rhinos

I don’t often see motivational advice offered to single people. Having lots of single Facebook friends and being single myself, I am aware of the, oftentimes, desperation that singles experience.

While most people are plotting routes to achieve financial success, buy a house, pay off debts or get a new car, single people’s consuming goal is to find that perfect someone. According to Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, being hooked up rates up there, or down there depending on how you view it, with the need for air, food and shelter.

What good is money if you don’t have anybody to go do things with? It’s no fun to go out to dinner when you are by yourself. An afternoon ride in the Ferrari is unsatisfying if the seat next to you is empty. It’s more fun to discuss life with someone other than yourself.

What’s a single person to do? The same motivational advice applies to finding a soul mate as it does to someone wanting to start a business. Get off the couch, get out there and take action!!

Don’t get discouraged with dating boneheads. Keep climbing higher! Meeting other singles and becoming acquainted is part of the process. You are, in effect, building a business and you are hiring. The more people you interview, the better your chances of finding the right applicant for the job. Have the attitude that it’s an adventure, not a chore. Make it fun! You’re on an expedition, not serving a jail sentence!

I like this quote by Robert Fulghum – “We’re all a little weird. And life is weird. And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into mutually satisfying weirdness – and call it love – true love.”

There is a person that is the perfect weirdness out there, looking for you, too. Get out there in the jungle and make it happen! Keep charging!!! Scott Alexander

Adventure! You are Living it!!!

Would you describe your life as adventurous? If not, I believe that you have a distorted view of what an adventure actually is. People always associate adventure with activities like scaling the peak of some exotic mountain, wrestling an alligator, or crossing Africa on a motorcycle. Yes, those qualify as exciting experiences, but adventurous living doesn’t necessarily involve the potential loss of life or limbs.

An adventurous life starts in your mind. You are on a quest. You are searching for something, and it doesn’t matter if it is the source of the Nile River, a boyfriend, a girlfriend, or a potential business associate. Suddenly a trip to the grocery store can turn into a bold undertaking!

You may be at the bottom, you may feel defeated, disillusioned and exhausted. Perfect!! Now, we have the ingredients for a world-class adventure! There is nothing more exhilarating than crawling from the depths of depression to victory! Of course, you may never make it to victory. It may elude you for your whole life. That’s the definition of an adventure – a risky undertaking with an uncertain outcome. If you want predictability, watch TV every night.

The key to adventure is to keep moving, while keeping the adventurous attitude. Your life is an undertaking complete with everything you would expect to find in an adventure novel. You fail, you fall. You get up and keep trying. You meet people along the way who help you, and you meet some shady characters you know to avoid. Maybe your marriage fails. You can try again! You keep the vision of where you want to go alive in your mind, spirit and soul, and never give up.

Now we are talking real adventure!!! You continue on, despite the obstacles. You keep fighting, when most people would lay down and quit. You keep the attitude that your life is a grand adventure, even though it may not be fun or easy at times. Your story will be an inspiration to others in the future. You are changing the world!
